How to Stand Out as a New Coach

As a new entrepreneur in the Expert Industry,  it’s daunting to market yourself against the many other coaches, consultants, and experts out there.

How can you stand out from the hundreds or even thousands of others out there doing the same thing?

The key is to discover your superpower, your unique style that sets you apart.

Here are 6 ways you can stand out:

  1. Identify Your Strengths and Passions - why did you get into the area you teach/coach / consult in?  What skills do you have in this area that are possibly different from other experts? What are you naturally good at? What topics are you most passionate about?
  2. Define Your Niche – get clear on who exactly your client or audience is. How old are they? Where do they live? What problems do they have? What pain do they have in the ir life? What problems can you specifically help them solve?
  3. Your Unique Coaching Method – as a new coach to establish yourself as a credible expert you must develop a unique coaching method or system. This will demonstrate your step by step process, thinking and unique perspective on the problem your clients face and how they can solve it. It is here that you can highlight how you blend different coaching styles or methods and how your background and life experience has come together to give your clients this experience. Your coaching method must be a journey that you take clients on, to take them from where they are stuck, struggling and frustrated with a problem, to a new place where they have solved that problem with your help.
  4. Personal Brand – your unique personal brand is what will attract clients. They need to understand who you, what your vision is, your style, what makes you special, your personality, your values. This is done through your website, your social media profiles and the content you share online in blog posts, videos or podcasts.
  5. Showcase Your Results – it is important to demonstrate the tangible results you have helped your clients achieved. They should be posted on your social media sites and on all sales pages. These could involve written testimonials, videos of your clients sharing their results, or a short video from one of your client sessions. Anything that involves positive feedback from one of your clients.
  6. Collaboration – when you work together with another expert you are then showcased to their audience and can share in their spotlight. Clients may then perceive you as an expert because you are collaborating with the expert they already know and trust. This can involve interviewing other experts on your Podcast or a Live.
